Clearance information (i.e. PA State Police, FBI fingerprints, and Child Abuse clearance) is listed below. Staff are required to renew their background clearances every five years. The Pennsylvania School for the Deaf consistently recruits for the following positions

Teachers of the Deaf

PSD seeks those qualified and experienced. There may be varying teaching positions for different age levels at the school. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in Deaf Education or a related field and be eligible for state certification. Master’s degree is preferable. Fluency in American Sign Language at the Advanced Level is expected.

Teacher Substitutes
