Maguire Foundation $1Million Challenge

The Pennsylvania School for the Deaf (PSD) is pleased to announce that The Maguire Foundation has generously pledged $1M to the School in the form of a two-year matching grant.  These funds will be used to build a new Student-Community Learning Center at PSD.  Our high school students have produced their own fund raising video for the campaign. Move your mouse over the video at right to find the magnifier to enlarge the video.

James J. and Frances M. Maguire, Founders and Directors of the Maguire Foundation, will give $1 million to PSD if we can raise an additional $1 million by June 30, 2011.  Qualifying gifts must be $5,000 or more.  Multi-year pledges are eligible for the match. Donations made be made online via our website or by mail or electronic transfer.

PSD is also conducting a "Power of One" Campaign to help us meet the $1M Maguire Challenge.

An Internet Cafe will be an important component of the new Maguire Student-Community Learning Center. When complete, this newly designed facility will also include two state-of-the-art science labs, a full teaching kitchen, seating space for each student age group to eat together, and additional performing arts and meeting space for special activities at PSD.
