WE BEAT THE HEAT!

Saturday morning, Greg, Khyaire, Charlie, and Gordon ran an AMAZING 4.76 miles in the HOT HOT HOT Saturday morning sun!

Kyhaire earned EFFORT for running the whole way with a smile. He even coached me along through hilly Germantown!
Greg earned RESPECT for running with a smile.Despite the heat, he ran it out to the finish with a smile!
Gordon earned COURAGE for running the race independently along with Charlie who only needed support near the end!

Stephanie, Deb K., Danyell Corley, and I ran the race along with the students and Paulette cheered us on as the chaperone!

Stay tuned for more SRPS info in the upcoming weeks.
We are now in Marathon mode.
Check out the bulletin board in the cafeteria... we have run over 500 miles as a team!

On Tuesday, the Panther Student Runners joined the other SRPS teams on the VERY HILLY Belmont Plateau for a nice (and hilly) 3.1 mile run to start their marathon training for the November Race.

Dave Thomas, Philadelphia University's Cross Country Coach, hosted the yearly event and gave us the low down on the trail and the hills.

Khyaire, Dominick, and Gordon with coaches David, Kim, Paulette, and Melissa tackled the hills with ease, all coming in within 45 minutes! Paulette knocked almost 12 minutes off of her time, running 15 minute miles!
