Instructional Support
PSD is fortunate to have an array of support services for the educational program. Both human and material resources provide staff and students with the information and tools they need to pursue quality teaching and learning.
Teacher Resource Center (TRC)
Centrally housed in the Main Building, TRC contains materials of all sorts and across all subject domains. A full-time Curriculum Support Teacher maintains the collection and provides support and coaching to Elementary through High School classrooms.

ASL/English Language Planning
PSD values a bilingual approach in fostering students' optimal growth, development and achievement. A full-time Language Planning Facilitator works with classrooms across the entire school to fully implement this approach. Staff development and classroom coaching are integral elements to the program's success.

Staff Development
Professional growth takes on many different forms at PSD, some of which are formal and intentionally structured, and others are part of the culture of the school. In addition to the typical school in-service program, PSD also offers short courses, professional learning communities, tuition and professional membership reimbursement, opportunities to attend and present at conferences, and more. Each teacher has an individually tailored professional growth plan every year. Paraeducators pursue state credential certification and annual training. Collegial and collaborative work is promoted and supported. At PSD everyone is a learner.
Curriculum Development
Curriculum development and revision is done in collaboration with various instructional staff. Projects vary and often come from the initiative of teachers. Grounded in what works and what needs to be revisited, the classroom staff offer recommendations, and are often given leadership opportunities to help make changes happen.
