Elementary/Middle School

The Elementary Cluster is organized into grade level teams from 1^st through 5^th Grade, and at times vertical teams, depending on critical mass within a specific grade. (For example, 2^nd and 3^rd grades combined together in one team, consisting of two classes of 2^nd Graders, but only one class of 3^rd Graders.)

As children transition from the Early Childhood Program into Elementary School, our goal is to help them develop the necessary skills and independence that they will need throughout the rest of their educational journey.

The NEW Middle School

Beginning in Fall 2010, PSD is restructuring programming for our young teens.  The new Middle School Cluster will be comprised of 6th, 7th and 8th grades.  The supervision of both the Elementary Cluster and the new Middle School will be under, Elementary/Middle School Principal, Val Houser.

In the Middle School academic and social curricula are infused to best meet the needs of these young adolescents.  Our students' years in Middle School will provide many opportunities for friendship, service, leadership, achievement, and development of character with the purpose of preparing our students for their High School years.
