Childhood
Center

- Kindergarten
- Community Preschool for Hearing Children
PSD's commitment to young children and their families is strong. We believe that ALL young children, given early supports and experiences in fully accessible language, including American Sign Language (ASL) and English (spoken and written), and with enriched learning opportunities through play, will develop the skills in thinking, communicating and interacting necessary for children to attain high academic achievement throughout their school careers.
Our instructional program, at its core, promotes the acquisition of learning skills to ensure preparation for life-long learning. This includes aligning curriculum and instruction with PA state standards for infants, toddlers, preschool and school age students. The goal of all of our Early Childhood programs is to prepare children for continued learning and readiness in the school-age program of their choice.
