SUMMER PROGRAMS / EXTENDED SCHOOL YEAR (ESY) - 2008

at the

PENNSYLVANIA SCHOOL for the DEAF

 

For Teacher and Teacher Aide positions:

 

Any current PSD staff with an active application on file can fill out an Summer Program / ESY Supplemental form from the Education Office. Interested staff must return the forms no later than Friday, March 28th. This form will denote your interest in being considered for a possible position as a part of Summer Programs/ESY 2008.

 

For outside applicants (non-PSD staff):

Applications can be sent to the Headmaster's office.  Contact JHomka@psd.org to ask for the PSD application and Summer School supplemental form to be sent to you. Outside applicants must fill out a PSD application and fill out the information form as well.  The deadline for outside applicants is Friday, June 6th. 

 

At this time, the Summer Porgram dates are as follows:

 

July 7th to August 7th  (five weeks)

 

WEEK 1

Monday, July 7th - Orientation for new staff members only

Tuesday, July 8th - Orientation and classroom set-up for PSD staff and newer members

Wednesday through Friday, July 9th -11th - Summer Programs for students (three days)

 

WEEK 2

Monday through Friday, July 14th - 18th - Summer Programs for students (five days)

 

WEEKS 3, 4, & 5

Monday through Thursday, July 21 - 24

Monday through Thursday, July 28 - 31

Monday through Thursday, August 4 - 7

 

Staff hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Student hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
